I am a third year CSE student in India, preparing for GATE exam. Can someone please explain the subject repetition rule for GATE? It would be really helpful.

As per the GATE rules, a candidate can repeat a subject in GATE exam only once. So you cannot appear for the same GATE subject more than twice.

The subject repetition rule is to discourage students from writing the exam again and again just for the sake of it. You should only repeat a subject if you have a genuine need to improve your score.

I don’t think there is a subject repetition rule for GATE. You can appear for the same subject any number of times as long as you are eligible to write the exam.
