Hi everyone, I’m an Indian arts student studying for my final year exams. I’m having a hard time understanding and remembering all the different periods and movements in art history. Does anyone have any tips for studying this subject? Any help would be appreciated!|
May 10, 2023 at 1:19 pm #2199PoojaParticipantI had the same problem studying art history. What helped me was making sketches of the different artworks from each period to help commit them to memory. Try sketching them in your own style.|
May 10, 2023 at 1:21 pm #2200NishaParticipantThe best way I found to study art history was to find YouTube videos. Lots of cool channels explaining everything visually which helps it stick in my mind better. Save the ones you need and watch when revising.|

May 10, 2023 at 1:25 pm #2202DeepakParticipantYou should focus on key visual examples from each period. Make little paintings of Renaissance artwork etc, this will help you remember the style and context better than just reading notes. All the best!|
