I’m a CA student in articleship but facing some difficulties. Can someone give me some tips to make the most of my articleship?
Make sure you keep good relation with the chartered accountant you’re articleship under. Be polite, hardworking and willing to learn. Ask relevant questions.
Focus on understanding the basic concepts properly rather than just doing routine work. Ask your CA to explain things that you don’t understand clearly.
Maintain a journal of all the important work you do and concepts you learn. This will help you revise later for your CA exams.
Don’t be afraid to ask for more complex tasks once you get comfortable with the basics. Your CA will only give you work that matches your current skills.
Participate actively in all discussions related to client work. Listen carefully and take notes. This will add a lot of value to your learning.
