I am a third year MBBS student in India. I am finding my college life extremely stressful and pressurizing. I am unable to cope up with the heavy syllabus, long working hours, less sleep and a hectic schedule. It is affecting my mental and physical health. Can someone please suggest some effective ways to reduce stress level and maintain a good work-life balance in medical college?

Try to make a proper time table and stick to it. Divide your syllabus into small parts and study them on a daily basis. Take short breaks in between study hours.

Do some light exercises or yoga in the morning. It will make you feel refreshed and reduce stress. Make time for your hobbies also.

Make sure to take at least 6 to 7 hours of sleep daily. Lack of sleep can increase stress. Have a proper diet with fruits and vegetables.

Don’t try to be perfect, just do your best. Compare yourself to your past self, not to others. Remind yourself the stresses are temporary.
