I’ve been having really vivid and scary nightmares for months now. They seem to always involve the same theme of being chased and unable to escape. They wake me up every night and I’m exhausted during the day. Does anyone have any tips to make them stop? I’ve tried keeping a dream journal, meditation before bed and avoiding screens/stimuli before bed but nothing has helped so far.
recurring nightmares are usually a sign of stress or anxiety. you may want to try talking to a counselor or therapist to get to the root of what’s causing the nightmares.
Try changing up your bedtime routine. Take a warm shower or bath before bed, read a book, and avoid any electronics an hour before sleeping. Having a consistent routine may help your brain associate it with sleep.
You could also try sleeping supplements like melatonin or chamomile tea to promote deeper sleep. The deeper sleep may interrupt the nightmares. Hope you find relief soon!
