I am an electrical engineering student from india. I want to know which specialization is ideal if i want a high paying job and less workload. Also, i want to know which specializations are good if i want to pursue higher studies like Mtech and PhD? Some senior please help me decide.
June 12, 2023 at 10:02 am #2959For high pay, go for semiconductor devices and VLSI design. You’ll need to develop good coding skills though. Power systems is more theoretical but also has decent pay.

June 12, 2023 at 10:04 am #2961If you want less workload, avoid specializations related to microprocessors, embedded systems and control systems. Power systems and power electronics will have comparatively less hectic schedules.
June 12, 2023 at 10:05 am #2962All specializations have scope for higher studies. Just be sure you have a strong fundamental knowledge of basics like circuits, signals and systems and electromagnetics. The rest you can learn during your MTech.
