Hey all, I’m a second year MBBS student and having difficulty understanding the Krebs cycle. Can any senior student explain it in simple terms? Any helpful videos or resources would also be appreciated.
The Krebs cycle is easier to understand visually. Check out Khan Academy or Crash Course on YouTube, they have great animated explanations.
I feel you bro, biochem can get hella confusing. Just start with the basic steps – acetyl group attaches to citrate, then it does bunch of reactions, releases carbon dioxide and makes ATP. Don’t worry about the names of intermediates for now.
Just memorize the Krebs cycle, trying to understand the ‘why’ of it all is waste of time at this point. Focus on boards first, you can understand the details later.
Don’t stress too much dude, we all struggled with biochem at some point. Try watching Ninja Nerd lectures on Krebs cycle, his explanations are da bomb. All the best!
