Home » Topics » Engineering » Doubt about branch in engineering
I’m a final year engineering student in India and confused about specialization. Which branch has good scope and placements in core companies? Any advice would be helpful.
It depends on your interests and strengths. Computer Science/IT and Electronics branches usually have the widest scope.
Core companies prefer students from electrical, mechanical and computer science branches. But there are jobs for all branches if you work on skills like coding, communication etc.
Don’t worry too much now. Focus on your current studies and internships. Have a general idea about your preferences and keep your options open. You can decide your specialization in final year.
Branch doesn’t matter that much. It’s your skills, passion and hardwork that will get you good opportunities. So do not stress over the branch too much.
