Im a commerce student in india. Can someone explain the various courses after B.Com and career options available? Im confused about the different specializations – whether i should do B.Com Accounts or B.Com with computer application or other options. What are the job opportunities after each specialization?
The main options after B.Com general are CA, M.Com and various management programs. CA has good job prospects and salary. M.Com can help you get into teaching or banking jobs.
B.Com with Computer Application is a good option if you want to enter the field of e-commerce, business analysis or software industry. You will have technical skills in addition to commerce knowledge which is valuable to companies.
Aside from these specializations, you can also go for B.Com with concentration in tax procedures, marketing, insurance etc. based on your interests. Research the job prospects for each before choosing your specialization.
