I’m in first year of my medical college in india and i’m finding it really hard to understand the biological concepts. The diagrams and explanations in our textbooks are too brief. It is very overwhelming. Does anyone have any tips for studying biology effectively ? Any good online resources that could help simplify these concepts?
I faced the same issues in my first year. The best thing that helped me was making diagrams and flowcharts of my own. Redrawing pathways, cell structures and organ systems with as much detail as possible really cemented the concepts for me.
Don’t try to memorize everything at once. Focus on understanding the basic principles first. Then build up from there. And take lots of practice tests and tests yourself regularly to identify your weak areas.
