Hi, I’m a CA Final student and I’m struggling to understand consolidation chapter. It’s so confusing! Can someone help explain the purchase method and merger method for consolidation? Any tips for reference materials would also help.

Bruh try doing the MCQ practice sets for consolidation on ICSI study materials. They cover purchase and merger methods. It’ll make things clearer.

Bruv I don’t know about u but consolidation was soo confusing for me too. What really helped was practicing every example in the book until i understood how the journal entries work for both methods. Just keep solving examples dude

Don’t stress too much yaar! consolidation seems hard initially but once u get the hang of debit credit in inter company adjustments, it will become easy. Just focus on understanding the basic concepts clearly. All the best!

Bro consolidation is all about understanding the logic and applying it to problems. Make sure u revise the theory properly . It will make things a lot easier while doing sums. All the best!
