Hey guys, I’m a second year medical student and I’m finding the muscle physiology chapter really hard. I’m specially confused in the sliding filament theory of muscle contraction. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to understand it better? I’ll really appreciate any help.

Then relate it to real life examples like twisting a door knob. Relate the sliding of the filaments to the twisting motion. This analogy really clarified things for me.
