I’m a third year B.com student in India and confused about what to do next. I want a secure high paying job but not sure what options I have. Can anyone suggest what career path will be good considering the current job market?
CA would be the safest option. There is always a demand for good chartered accountants and the pay is very good too. You can start preparing for the CA foundation exams and see if you are interested.
An MBA from a good college can open a lot of doors. The 2 year program will help you gain exposure to management concepts and switch to a different specialization if needed. Marketing and finance are the most popular options.
It really depends on your interests. Think about the type of work you would enjoy doing and companies you would want to work for. Then you can decide on the right qualification or certification. Don’t just go for the highest paid option.
