Hey guys, I’m a first year student struggling with integration techniques. I’m having a hard time remembering all the different methods and when to use each one. Can anyone give me some tips or tricks to make this easier? Thanks!
May 10, 2023 at 6:15 pm #2304The substitution method is your best friend. When you see something that looks like something you’ve done before, try subbing in a new variable. Also remember trig integrals and inverse trig integrals, those come up a lot.

May 10, 2023 at 6:21 pm #2307I feel you, integration is a pain. What helped me was watching lots of worked examples on YouTube to see the different techniques in action. Khan Academy is great for that.
