Hey guys. I’m a CA final student and I’m having a lot of trouble understanding the purchase method and merger method of accounting for subsidiaries under consolidation. Can anyone explain how these methods work or recommend some good study material/videos? Would really appreciate any help!
Bruv consolidation was da hardest chapter for me too. Watch da Pankaj sir videos on YT, dey break down consolidation super easy and do lots of examples. Hope it helpss G!
Check out da ICSI study module on consolidation. Dey explain everything step by step and also have loads of MCQs and practice problems. I practiced from dat and it really helped clarify most of my doubts. All da best!
Lol u CA students overthink too much. Just memorize da steps and apply in numericals. That’s all dem CA goons want in exam! Mugging up is key bruv, get that into your thick head!
