Hi, I am a class 11 commerce student in India. I am having trouble understanding debits and credits in accounting. Can someone please explain the basic concepts of debit and credit in a simple way? It would help me a lot. Thanks!

Bro debit is like when money comes in and credit is when money goes out. Think of it like that. Hope this helps!

ya debit is like addition of money and credit is subtraction from accounts. try practicing some basic journal entries and posting to ledger that will make it clearer
