I am writing to express my keen interest in the Industrial Training opportunity with the Financial and Regulatory Reporting (FinR)/Management Company Accounting (MCA) team at DE Shaw.
With a solid foundation in accounting and finance, having cleared the CA Intermediate exam in May 2023 on my first attempt, I am now seeking to leverage my skills and knowledge in a dynamic and challenging environment. Currently undergoing articleship at KPMG under the statutory audit domain, I have gained invaluable experience in financial reporting, audit finalization, and regulatory compliance.
I am registered under the NEW scheme of CA articleship, wherein I have the opportunity to undergo, 1 year of articleship and 1 year of Industrial training each. So, my Articleship period was from Aug 2023 to July 2024, and I aspire to undergo Industrial training for the time applicable to me, i.e., Aug 2024 to July 2025
The opportunity to work alongside senior stakeholders in new fund launches and conducting in-depth financial analysis excites me immensely. My track record of upholding high standards and my ability to analyze rigorously and communicate effectively have been honed through both academic pursuits and practical experience at KPMG.
Moreover, I am deeply intrigued by the prospect of contributing to DE Shaw’s mission of innovation and technological advancement within the financial sector. My intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn align perfectly with the firm’s ethos of pushing boundaries and exploring new frontiers.
