OTHER INFORMATION:

Diksha Platform is an online resource that provides free E-Books and Audio Books for all State Boards to students. The platform offers learning material that is relevant to the prescribed school curriculum, for teachers, students, and parents. Diksha is available in several Indian languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Kannada, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, and Urdu. It also provides videos and quizzes to make education more interactive.

To access the platform, you need to download the Diksha app, select your preferred language, register as a student, provide information about your board and select your medium of education and grade/class. Once you’ve completed these steps, you’ll be able to access hours of video content, textbooks, and additional resources.

Diksha also provides teachers with lesson plans, worksheets, and activities to create enjoyable classroom experiences. Students can revise lessons, understand concepts, and do practice exercises. Parents can follow classroom activities and clear doubts outside school hours.

The platform offers interactive materials created by teachers and the best Indian content creators. You can scan QR codes from textbooks to find additional learning material associated with the topic. You can store and share content offline, even without internet connectivity, and find lessons and worksheets relevant to what is taught in the school classroom. Diksha also supports multiple content formats like video, PDF, HTML, ePub, H5P, quizzes, and more.

Teachers can find interactive and engaging teaching material to make their class interesting, see and share best practices with other teachers to explain difficult concepts to students, join courses to further their professional development and earn badges and certificates on completion, view their teaching history across their career as a school teacher, receive official announcements from the state department, and conduct digital assessments to check their students’ understanding of a topic that they have taught.

Students and parents can scan QR codes in their textbooks for easy access to associated lessons on the platform, revise lessons learnt in class, find additional material around topics that are difficult to understand, practice solving problems, and get immediate feedback on whether the answer is correct or not.

If you wish to create content for Diksha, you can help teachers deliver concepts in an easy and engaging manner, help students learn better in and outside of class, and get involved in providing students with high-quality learning material, irrespective of where they study. You can visit the VidyaDaan portal using vdn.diksha.gov.in to be a part of this movement.

This initiative is supported by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) and led by the National Council Of Educational Research And Training (NCERT) in India.
