Why aren’t you getting selected for CA Industrial Training?

We’ve all heard the buzz about companies hiring only top rankers and candidates with Big 4 articleships as CA Industrial Trainee. But let’s demystify this perception. We at My Student Club placed 100s of students into their dream organization this attempt. After speaking with them, Seniors, CAs, HR’s and my personal experiences here are some suggestions:

    1. Don’t get in the Rush:
When a vacancy is posted, the floodgates open, we get 100s of applications in the first hour itself, the number crosses 1000 very soon if it’s a reputed organization, there are high chances that your resume shall be lost in the sea of submissions and to stand out my suggestion would be to never apply on the first day itself or on holidays, I tried it myself and got my interviews scheduled in organizations like Mars, Henkel this way. Make sure you stand out from the crowd either it’s through a catchy subject or repeated submissions.

    2. Leverage Referrals:
Referrals within an organization can make all the difference. They ensure your application reaches HR’s desk and doesn’t go unnoticed. I have seen people having multiple attempts in Inter getting selected for organizations that normally hire only rankers just because of reference. LinkedIn helps a lot!

    3. Go the Extra Mile:
The difference happens with every extra step you take, in the first application I made with one of the reputed IB I never heard back from them, later I applied again with the same details but a different Mail ID and I got selected there! Another instance was when I and my friend both applied to GS for industrial training, even though my friend had higher scores, I was selected. I believe it was because I submitted a cover letter even after it being optional. It’s about showcasing that extra effort. I’ve attached my application email as a reference, including a signature which you can consider adding in the mail.

    4. Cold Mailing:
Surprisingly, many students land roles in organizations that haven’t publicly posted vacancies. We’ve compiled a list of 300+ recruiter email addresses for industrial training opportunities on our MSC IT Portal. Sending them a simple email expressing your interest can work wonders. I’ve seen it happen with organizations like CS and Adani.

Rejections and silence can be disheartening. But remember, this is something not in your control. At My Student Club, we’re committed to helping you succeed. Keep giving your all, and I’m confident the right opportunity is just around the corner. To stay updated on every industrial training vacancy, visit our Industrial Training Portal. There are many other points to share but the word limit is the constraint. Anyways If you have questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out.

Wishing you the best of luck on your industrial training journey! 🌟🚀
