I’m an second year arts student in India and I’m worried about future job opportunities after completing my graduation. Can someone suggest some decent and available career options for arts graduates in India?

There are a few options – teaching, banking, civil services, law, journalism, content writing, media. But it mostly depends on your subject specialization and skills.

Don’t worry too much. There’s plenty of options if you build the right skills and network. Focus on developing good communication, english and computer skills. Start applying for internships now to gain experience. Look for options in digital marketing, HR, editing too.

Arts graduates are literally useless in India’s job market. You’ve limited yourself to teaching or civil services only. Should have done some professional course.

Be open to unconventional career paths. With communication, writing and analytical skills, you can pursue roles in areas like advertising, event management, brand management etc. Attend career fairs and explore less traditional options.

Hey don’t lose hope. I’m an arts graduate working in a good company. You just need to work on the right skills and network actively. Stop depending on your degree alone, look for internships, courses and networking opportunities to build a good career.
