I’m an undergraduate student living in a hostel. It has been a good experience for the most part as I get to interact with a lot of people and make friends. However, there are some issues too, like maintaining cleanliness and noise levels. People come from different backgrounds and upbringing so there are compatibility issues at times. Any tips for living peacefully in a hostel environment?
The key is communication. Talk to your roommates and make some ground rules together regarding cleanliness, noise levels late at night etc. Compromise where you can but also stand up for what you need.
Hostel life is always a little messy and noisy dude. Just wear earplugs when you wanna sleep and don’t sweat the small stuff. Make the most of the great friends you’ll find!
