Hi guys, I’m a CA final student and I’m having trouble understanding the consolidation chapter. It’s very confusing, can someone please explain the purchase method and merger method in consolidation steps by steps or give some good resources? I’m totally lost
I suggest you concentrate on the basics 1st. Understanding the purchase vs merger difference is key. Then start doing small sums for each step and build up. Don’t try big complicated sums directly. All the best!
Actually consolidation is wuite easy once u get hang of it. Just apply the method mechanically step by step and u will solve any sum. Dont think too much into the theory, just calculate. That’s how I cleared CA in first attempt.
