I’m a second year engineering student and I find it difficult to focus while studying. I struggle to understand complex engineering concepts. What study habits would you recommend for engineering students like me to improve?

Study for 1-2 hours and then take a short break. While studying, take notes, draw diagrams and solve lots of examples. Review notes regularly to retain concepts. All the best!

Studying and solving problems together keeps u motivated. It also helps clear each other’s doubts. So try asking some friends to form a study group. Good luck!

Attend lectures regularly and prepare notes. After you finish studying, try to teach the concepts to someone else or record yourself teaching – this will help test your understanding. And never forget to take breaks in between!

Try the pomodoro technique – study for 25 mins, then take a 5 min break. Reduce distractions like phone etc while studying. And make sure u actually understand the concepts, don’t just mug up things. All the best!
